Before your first appointment

Starting therapy can come with questions — especially if you haven’t done it before. We’ve put together a few things to help you know what to expect and make getting started feel a little easier.

A quick hello before you arrive

If you’re wondering what it will feel like to walk through our doors, this short video will give you a little glimpse of what to expect.

From arriving at the practice to meeting your clinician, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Your guide to starting therapy

You don’t need to prepare for therapy or know exactly what you want to say before you arrive.

Our Starting Therapy Guide answers some of the questions people commonly have before their first appointment, including what happens in the first session, what you can talk about, and what to expect as therapy begins.

There’s nothing you need to complete — this is simply here if it would be helpful.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you begin.

Your first appointment is a chance for you and your clinician to start getting to know each other, talk about what has brought you to therapy, and begin working out what might be helpful from here.

If you have a question before your appointment,
our Client Care team is always happy to help.
