More than a psychology clinic.
We’re building a community where people feel understood, supported and empowered to thrive.
At The Heart & Mind Collective, we believe that understanding a person involves more than identifying challenges - it means recognising their strengths, experiences, relationships and unique way of engaging with the world.
Our team provides trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families across the Central Coast and Australia-wide via telehealth.
Whether you're seeking answers, support, healing, connection or a better understanding of yourself, we're here to walk alongside you.
Our Story.
Why we created the Heart & Mind Collective.
The Heart & Mind Collective was founded from a shared belief that psychological support should feel human.
After years working across mental health, disability, early intervention and community services, we saw too many people feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or forced to fit into systems that weren't designed around their needs.
We wanted to create something different.
A place where people could access high-quality assessment and therapy while feeling genuinely seen, respected and valued.
A place where neurodivergent individuals, trauma survivors, children, parents, couples and families could find support that honours their unique experiences and strengths.
Today, The Heart & Mind Collective has grown into a multidisciplinary team united by one simple goal:
Helping people build lives that feel meaningful, connected and authentic.
What makes us different.
We don’t just provide therapy.
We help people make sense of their story.
We see the whole person
We look beyond behaviours, symptoms and labels to understand the experiences, relationships, strengths and environments that shape everyday life.
We understand complexity
Many of our clients have seen multiple professionals before finding us.
Our team has experience supporting neurodivergence, trauma, mental health challenges and complex presentations across the lifespan.
We work collaboratively
We believe the best outcomes occur when families, schools, GPs, paediatricians, allied health professionals and therapists work together.
Our philosophy.
Our work is guided by 3 core beliefs.
Safety comes first
Healing, growth and meaningful change happen when people feel safe, understood and respected.
Difference is not deficit
We embrace neurodiversity and recognise that every individual experiences and engages with the world differently.
Connection matters
Relationships have the power to support healing, resilience and lifelong wellbeing.
Beyond the therapy room.
Investing in the wellbeing of our wider Central Coast community.
We believe supporting wellbeing means more than providing therapy and assessments.
Alongside our clinical work, we are committed to strengthening the broader mental health community through professional development, collaboration, advocacy and community partnerships.
This includes:
✓ Facilitating the Central Coast EMDR Peer Supervision Network
✓ Facilitating the Central Coast Neurodiversity & Trauma Network
✓ Hosting training and professional development opportunities for local clinicians
✓ Collaborating with schools, university, GPs, paediatricians and allied health professionals
✓ Creating pathways that improve access to high-quality mental health care
By supporting both individuals and professionals, we hope to contribute to a stronger, more connected and more capable mental health community for everyone.
Looking ahead.
To set the standard for mental health care on the Central Coast.
Through compassionate, evidence-based, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice, we strive to help people feel understood, supported and empowered to thrive.
Our vision extends beyond providing assessment and therapy.
We are committed to building a service, a professional community and a culture of care that supports individuals, families and professionals to thrive.
Through clinical excellence, education, collaboration and innovation, we hope to help shape the future of mental health care across our region.
