Katie Chinchen
Registered Psychologist
I’m Katie, a registered psychologist who works to create a safe and supportive environment where people can explore their experiences with authenticity. I believe in the innate strengths and wisdom that each individual holds, even during times of deep struggle.
In my practice, I draw upon a range of evidence-based modalities underpinned by a trauma-informed and client centered approach, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. These approaches help guide and support each person’s unique process of healing, growth, and self-discovery.
I have experience supporting people who are navigating complex intersections of addiction, trauma, mental health, and recovery. I also have experience working in the out-of-home care sector with adolescents, as well as providing psychological support to children, young people, and adults engaged with the NDIS.
The process of healing happens within safe, genuine, and collaborative relationships and it would be an honour to walk alongside you on your journey.
